I used to be a serial dieter. My dieting would go in waves. I would lose weight and then gain it back and lose it and then gain more weight back. It was a never-ending cycle.

As I got older and became more sedentary from office life, the weight loss became even harder. I was exhausted from trying to avoid all the foods I loved. And I could only hold out for so long before I gave into my cravings.

For years I was frustrated at my slowing willpower and energy for dieting. How could I continue to keep this up for life? Dieting is exhausting! But it didn’t stop there. In my free time I would Google and research the latest diets. Constantly trying to find out what the best way to eat was. The more I researched, the more weight I gained. I honestly thought something was wrong with me.

Until I took a leap that changed my life forever.

As I started on my Life & Health Coaching Certification journey, I realized there was nothing wrong with me. That I was acting totally normal based on what I was taught about losing weight. I had just been using the wrong techniques all along.

As I implemented the tools we learned in school for my own struggles, I was able to finally lose the extra weight I had carried for years. I ended my life long battle with food and my weight and for the first time in my life, I felt confident I could keep it off. (And I have!) I no longer use willpower to manage food cravings. I learned how to see the scale as neutral even before I lost the weight. It wasn’t something to be feared anymore. I still eat my favorite foods including the ones that aren’t that nutritious. And I do it without fear, shame, or guilt.

Now it is your turn.

I can’t wait to help you create the life you’ve been dreaming about like I did for myself. One where diets are a thing of the past. Where you can be around any type of food and feel confident knowing that you have complete power over what you eat. One where your relationship with food will change forever.

Random fun facts about me:

  •  I’m a born and raised New Yorker and I still love pizza. I grew up in the Bronx for a few years but mostly in the suburbs north of NYC. I went to college in Western NY. After college I also lived in Manhattan and Queens.
  • Because I went to college not too far from Buffalo, NY I believe that only blue cheese should be paired with Buffalo Wings, not ranch and that Frank’s Red Hot must be the main hot sauce in the recipe.
  • Although I love NY I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I actually decided to move here before visiting based on a Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis I made on PowerPoint because I’m a nerd at times. (Although I did make a long weekend trip out here to confirm my decision.)
  • I love watching old Bob Ross episodes because they are so damn relaxing. It’s pretty insane how easy he makes painting look. Also we are birth date twins!
  • I love anchovies.
  • I’m an awful singer but I love karaoke.
  • The weirdest food I have ever tried is a tie between two different foods:
  • Hákarl — Fermented Icalandic shark that is so rotten that it burns your nostrils and makes your eyes water as you lift it towards your mouth
  • Rocky Mountain Oysters — I’ll let you google that one if you don’t know it already
  • My favorite ways to exercise are: yoga, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, Pilates Megaformer (Lagree), and Versa Climbing classes. I believe that exercising should be fun so I like to change it up when I get bored of one type of exercise.
